UDOT 4400 S Gas Relocation – I-15 Crossing
Scope: Interstate HDD crossing, gas main relocation, bridge utility removal
Highlights: 12” HDPE casing | 6” gas main | Critical interstate infrastructure
Utilify’s skilled gas and bore crews bored under I-15 as part of a high-profile gas relocation project. Our team installed 12” HDPE casing pipe and a 6” gas main, tying into existing 4” steel mains on both sides of the freeway.
The existing bridge-mounted gas line was safely retired and removed to allow for bridge demolition and reconstruction.
Completed in just two weeks with zero disruption to critical infrastructure.
Parleys Canyon Fire Mitigation – Utah
Scope: Overhead-to-underground power conversion
Highlights: 36,000 LF of conduit | Mountainous terrain | Wildfire mitigation
Working in steep, rugged terrain, Utilify installed 36,000 linear feet of 6”, 4”, and 3” conduit to relocate overhead power lines underground.
This project significantly reduced wildfire risk in a high-exposure corridor.
Delivered safely and on schedule in four months.
American Fork HDD River Crossings
Scope: Gas system expansion & deep HDD river crossing
Highlights: 60-foot bore depth | 16” HDPE | Wireline locating
Utilify Gas crews installed approximately 5,000 feet of 8” gas main, including complex tie-ins and excavations reaching depths of 22 feet.
Our bore crews completed a 1,480-foot 16” HDPE horizontal directional drill beneath the American Fork River, reaching depths of 60 feet. Advanced wireline locating ensured accuracy and bore integrity.
Provided critical natural gas capacity to support rapid residential growth.
Clinton 1800 N & 2000 W – UDOT Road Widening
Scope: Utility relocation for roadway expansion
Highlights: 29 pull vaults | 45,000 LF conduit | Ahead of schedule
Utilify completed back-to-back roadway expansion projects, relocating overhead power infrastructure into new underground conduit systems.
Crews installed 29 large pull vaults and approximately 45,000 linear feet of 6”, 4”, and 3” conduit through trenching and directional boring.
Both projects were completed ahead of schedule.
Kilby Road Fire Mitigation – Near Park City, Utah
Scope: Wildfire risk reduction infrastructure
Highlights: 18,000 LF conduit | 16 pull vaults | Heavy excavation
Just outside Park City, Utilify installed approximately 18,000 feet of 6” and 4” conduit and set 16 large pull vaults using 350-class excavation equipment.
This project strengthened grid reliability and reduced wildfire exposure in a high-risk area.
